Every dog at the Wisconsin Humane Society needs a collar and a leash, and as we routinely help around 6,000 dogs each year, you can imagine that we use a lot of them! We use "martingale"-style collars, which are both harder to slip out of and easier to fit than traditional buckle collars. While we reuse collars and leashes when we can, after washing them of course, they still go through a large amount of wear and tear. Please consider purchasing one as a gift to the shelter, and our dogs will thank you!
