365 days a year, regardless of rain, sleet or snow, our amazing volunteer Dog Walkers take the dogs in our care for walks around ourĀ 5 WisconsinĀ locations.Ā Instead of a regular leash, our volunteers and staff use The Walkieā¢, a unique, no-pull leash developed by ASPCA Senior Director of Shelter Research and Development Dr. Emily Weiss.Ā As you can imagine, these leashes go through a lot of wear and tear each year, and replacing them as they wear out is a recurring expense for WHS.Ā Please consider purchasing one as a gift to the shelter, and our dogs will thank you!
