365 days a year, regardless of rain, sleet or snow, our amazing volunteer Dog Walkers take the dogs in our care for walks around our 5 Wisconsin locations. Instead of a regular leash, our volunteers and staff use The Walkie™, a unique, no-pull leash developed by ASPCA Senior Director of Shelter Research and Development Dr. Emily Weiss. As you can imagine, these leashes go through a lot of wear and tear each year, and replacing them as they wear out is a recurring expense for WHS. Please consider purchasing one as a gift to the shelter, and our dogs will thank you!
